We are delighted to report that the PechaKucha evening at the Surface Design Show was a great success. Director Anshu Srivastava kicked off the series of ten presentations with a slide show reflecting on the self-build house project that he carried out in India back in the 1990s. Weaving together his memories of the project alongside philosophical musings on the works of Descartes and contemporary gender politics, there was much to keep the 150 strong audience amused! The other speakers were wonderfully varied and inspiring, including looking at the use of colour in buildings to the underground churches of South Sudan. www.pechakucha.org
